DJ/band and photographer

DJ/band and photographer

This may be a silly question, but my wedding isn't until October 2011. How early is too early to start booking DJ/band and photographers? Has anyone else getting married next fall booked already?

My FH really wants a wedding singer during dinner, like a guy that sings Frank Sinatra songs. Kinda like the guys that sing at Ciao Baby in Massapequa if anyone has been there before. Does anyone know of or can anyone recommend anyone?

I think most of us have already started to book dj and photographer for 2011. Cause they get booked early.

I'm getting married in Nov and I booked both already. I booked all the big things this year RH DJ and photographer

a) We've already booked photo, video and dj for sept 24, 2011

b)Bravura has at least 2 great singers who can do that loungey thing

it is never too early. I called my photographer in feb/march and they accidently heard the wrong date which was a week before mine (in June 2011) and they were apparently all booked. so the earlier, the better, IMO

I'm getting married in October 2011 and I booked my band/photographer. I wanted to make sure I got who I wanted so I booked early.

I am getting married in November 2011 and I booked photo and DJ already. I wanted Duet for photography but they were already all booked for my date, so I had to go with Patken. The earlier the better, honestly. I just booked Bravura Entertainment in Woodbury for DJ. They have fabulous singers and violinists/saxaphonist/etc., especially if you want Italian music. One of their vocalists, Paul, sings in Italian. Check out their website. They are fabulous! and not expensive at all! Also, check out ChristyAnn cosmetics for makeup. She is in the same building as Bravura and does gorgeous work.

When I was talking to those vendors they said they tend to book 12-18 months in advance, so if you know who you want to use go for it

Its not too early @ all...we booked our RH march 2009 and we booked our photographer in February and booked our videographer this month. We now are looking into booking our DJ....(this is going to be tough decision.)

My wedding is September of 2011 and I booked my photographer 2 weeks ago, but I haven't even looked at DJs yet!

My wedding is 9/2011 and we have already booked our Dj and photographer. Believe it or not when I went to my Dj he had already booked up totally for a few months next year already! He told me he had clients that got engaged in 2009 booking him for 2011. He even had a wedding booked for 2012! So I dont think you would booking too early at all

I booked both already, but I'm under the year point now.

We have booked our place, DJ,and Photog/Video so far-

Tommy's Tunes has a Frank Sinatra singer- wasn't our style but he sounded really good! They have a DVD they can show you if you meet with them.

I would book everything when you can. As for the Frank Sinatra singer, the guy that booked us at the Watermill does it on the side. I heard he is really good. His name is Frank. Just call the Watermill and ask for him.
