DJ/Band Costs

Can you let me know the cost of your dj/band for your wedding? I am trying to get an idea of how much it will be and if a band is in our budget.

I was originally looking at a band... with meals, it would have cost $5600 (plus tips).

My DJ and MC will cost me 1690, with meals (plus tips), and a good - but not out of control light package. (much more reasonable)!

band is around $6000

I'm looking into DJs only.

I'm getting quotes for around $1100-$1600 for just the dj/music.

Then there are add-ons for like $300-$1000 for slideshow, plasma tvs, picture from ceremony/cocktail hour projected on a screen, lighting, etc...

our MC/DJ combo was under $1000. we got the basic package. if u get just 1 person then it's even less.
if u wanted fancy lighting, etc then that costs more.

we used FM Entertainment (LIW vendor)

I paid 6300 for a 9 piece band.

I paid $2300 for a five piece band... with one member playing cocktail hour also.

We are paying $1050 for a dj. They are doing ceremony music, cocktail hour and reception.

code blue is awesome...we wanted them but they were booked on our wedding day...we were dissapointed until we saw and booked rhapsody, they were great too!!
