I am looking into a DJ/MC combo with live musician options for the ceremony and CH (probably a string trio and piano/vocalist respectively).
I met with Bravura last weekend who I liked a lot. I also spoke with Tommy Tunes and have messages out to Long Island Sound, FM Entertainment, and Genesys.
Who would you recommend, or how would you rate these based on quality, price, and easiness to work with? Any others I'm missing?
Thanks for your help!

Re: DJ/MC and Live Musicians
I'm booked with Bravura and I've having a great experience.. they have contacted me numerous times to check up and see how things are going, if I have a question they get back to me super quickly, and I just feel like they are so organized.. I have a DJ/MC, uplighting, a Jazz duo (piano and upright bass), and we paid for Paul for the reception as live entertainment. He will be the cocktail hour singer as well. We wanted to guarantee that we had him for cocktail hour so we decided to just pay the extra $$ to have him as our MC/live singer at the reception... he will sing the cake cutting, first dance, bride/dad dance, dinner hour etc.
I definitely suggest going to their live showcase whenever they have one next!

Re: DJ/MC and Live Musicians
We are checking into Variety Music. We attended a wedding back in november that they were at, and we were very impressed. They had a wonderful string ensemble for the ceremony, a jazz trio at cocktail hour, and DJ & MC with Percussionist at the reception. They had everyone dancing all night. It was the best wedding we had ever been to! They were very professional and fun.
