Ok, so I just got back with meeting with a DJ/photographer...it's the same company. They are the RH's preferred dj/photographer. Here's the deal:
$1,645 for photography, including tax. They come to the house first, do the pictures, pictures of the ceremony, pictures after the ceremony, and candids through the reception. Includes album with 30 8x10s, two additional 8x10s, 75 thank yous with pictures, engagement photo, and disc with all the pictures. Comes to about $150 a month and $300 two weeks after the wedding.
$1,295 for DJ/MC for 5 1/2 hours, ceremony music for free, cocktail hour music, disco lighting, hand-outs, and no tax. $175 a month.
It would require a $200 deposit and our engagement shoot is in June. Is this a good price? What are you girls paying?

Thats a great deal! FH and I always researched the Brides Review forum first before we booked with anyone. We liked the reassurance from other brides. HTH!

Wow sounds like you're getting a really great deal, especially for photography!
I agree w/ the above poster as well, before booking any vendors we did online searches of them to read various reviews.

def sounds less than what we saw re: the photog. how many photogs do you get and how many prints?
also for the dj thats about average for what you're getting i would say - many places we went their basic package for dj and mc was 1000-1500 so i would say that is right on.

just do your research before signing anything! There are reviews all through this board. Use the search button at the top right of this page and any time the company name is mentioned, you will see it.
The photo pricing seems really good, but that would scare me. The DJ price seems pretty on par with any reasonable basic package.
