HELLO LADIES! I NEED YOUR HELP. I AM TRYING TO CHOOSE BETWEEN 2 DJ COMPANIES HIGH ENERGY ENTERTAINMENT AND PARTIES ALIVE. PLEASE CHOOSE ONE AND FEEDBACK IS ALSO ALWAYS WELCOME.
SECONDLY I AM TRYING TO DESIDE IF I WANT ALL THE RECEPTION MUSIC VIA DJ OR THE DJ W/ SOME ADDITIONAL LIVE MUSIC ADDED (SAX, DRUMS AND A SINGER) WHICH WOULD MOSTLY BE FOR DINNER AND SOME SLOW DANCES ONLY. THE LIVE MUSIC IS ABOUT A THOUSAND DOLLARS EXTRA - IS IT WORTH IT?
HELP LADIES! I NEED YOU!

Re: DJ/RECEPTION MUSIC POLL
Honestly, i'm not familiar with either of those companies. We are using TGIF entertainment who i saw at 6 weddings and loved them every time. One of the major things i wanted was the percussionist and the sax player. I believe the percussionist adds so much to the evening and picks the energy level up. The sax player i wanted mostly for my dad cause he loves it. We are on the cusp of making a decision about a singer --in this case an amazing frank sinatra singer for dinner. The debate is this...he truly is wonderful, the downside, i felt it broke up the night in a way i didnt like. HTH!

Sorry---I've never heard of either company!

Re: DJ/RECEPTION MUSIC POLL
I don't know anything about either of those DJ's.
As for incorporating live music with the DJ, we decided not to. Initially I thought I wanted it, even though i have never actually seen it live. After talking to several people I was convinced that the live music may be too much. My photographer actually made a good point.... music artists spend hours is a recording studio perfecting there album and to have a person on percussion playing over the actual song would ruin it.
We decided to go with live music during the CH and just DJ for the reception.

I don't know about either of those companies but we had a percussionist and a sax player at our wedding and it was a huge hit and it was a nice compromise for DH and I b/c I wanted a band and he wanted a DJ I say go for it.

Re: DJ/RECEPTION MUSIC POLL
I just had Parties Alive at my wedding 2 weeks ago and they blew me away!!!! I was so impressed. EVERYONE was up - my 12 yr old cousins, 25 yr old friends, and 70 yr old Grandparents. We had the percussionist and Sinatra singer and they were really nice touches.
