Can anybody recommend a DJ for under $1300, that's good, and will play everything I want to hear, and NOT play the things I don't want to hear?

We booked Absolute Entertainment and are paying a little more than your range but that is because we also booked a keyboard player for teh CH! W?O our add ons, for the DJ and MC it comes to around 1100!

I used DJ Glenn Passerelli of WJGP Sound, Port Jeff and he was amazing! Glenn DJ'd my friend's wedding 4 years ago and I never forgot him - so nice, so low-key and played everything I wanted! I really wanted a band, DH wanted a DJ so I compromised - and I am glad I did! He was amazing! He never stopped playing, played a good mix of slow sonngs, dance music, oldies, etc! He had a lsit of songs to chose from and the list was soooo long and even included certain Italian songs I wanted him to play. The crowed never stopped dancing the whole night no flashing lights, no props - a class act from start to finish and in your price range. A few other ladies on the board are using him as well. I am using Vinny from High Voltage Sounds, he is a vendor on this board. His cost is well below the $1300.00. He listens to everything the bride/groom wants and does not want.
He is the most sincere DJ I met while I was looking. You will not feel like you just met with a sales person.

My sister used LI Sound and they were AMAZING! DJ and MC - had everyone on the floor the entire night. Listened to what my sister wanted to hear and didn't want to hear and respected her request to NOT play guest requests.

DOuble G in Hicksville- they are great- saw them play and booled them for my wedding just met with the guy- Stevie tonight- very nice and will play whatever we want- and will not play what we want... he was very easy going and got to know us a little better so he had an idea of what to play...

i have to second Absolute Entertainment. They are very nice, and reasonable, and they give you a lot of choice over the style of music you want played at your wedding. they are also a vendor here.
