I was thinking about booking Starlight Express for my DJ, has anyone used their services before?

I almost booked them -- it was between them and Big Hits -- but since both were house vendors of my hall, I asked my hall which one they liked better, and they said that they were both good, but it depends on what kind of 'personality' you want. Starlight is a bit more 'flashy' then Big Hits -- we went with Big Hits because my DH really liked them (I liked Starlight). My friend's brother used Starlight for his engagement party and everyone loved them!!

Starlight Express sent me a Video last week and I loved them when I saw it...My wedding isn't till 2004 so I didn't want to book already...but they seem like they really get the crowd up and moving!
If you haven't seen the video call and have them send you one.

It is never to early to book a vendor. If you book now, you get the price of now not 2004. I have already booked almost all my vendors except for the photographer and the florist (but I know who I am using to use).

Wow...you're getting married 2 months almost to the day after me and you've booked all your vendors already that's great!! We've only booked the hall, photographer and Videographer so far.
Where ya going on your honeymoon?

We are going to Aruba for our honeymoon. Sorry, that is another thing that we did not book yet. We have the church, reception hall, DJ and videographer and like I said we know what
florist(s) we are using.

We're thinking either Aruba or Hawaii, but my fiance doesn't like to fly..so it looks like we'll be leaning more towards Aruba

You'll LOVE Aruba!!! We went there on our honeymoon and my hubby doesn't like to fly either, and was a wreck, especially after 9/11 and the bombing of Afghanistan, but he survived!!! It's not a long flight -- much shorter then Hawaii! You'll both love it, lots to do, and very relaxing and romantic!!!

I thought Big hits and Starlight were pretty good but they were alot pricier than I wanted to spend.

I went to visit them but did not book with them. They did give us a really great cd that we paly when we have parties.

They seem ok but with us they really stressed the lightening and special effects. I almost had an asthma attack when they set off the smoke machine in the demo room with us. We weren't looking for all those bells and whistles so was a little uncomfortable that. Wound up choosing Spin Around Sound.
