I'm looking for a DJ for my Sept. 03 wedding at the Bourne Mansion. I have met with one, just Get In Tune, and I thought he was nice, but he wouldn't let us choose all the songs he would play, we could only choose 20 songs, and then he would do the rest. I want a DJ that is very classy, and who will play want we want and say what we want. We are looking to spend only around $1000, we don't want lights or anything like that. We will not be having a bouquet toss or garter toss. Anyway, I know that the Bourne Mansion recommends Absolute Entertainment, however, when I did a search on LIWeddings, there were a lot of negative reviews about them. Does anyone else have any recommendations? Also, I don't know if anyone has been to a wedding at the Bourne and heard a good DJ there? The acoustics are supposed to be a little tricky b/c the room is so big with high ceilings. Thank you for any recommendations!
i second Music by Michael! He is terrific, very professional and classy.. plus, he has high-tech equipment that works well with difficult acoustic settings, such as old mansions. We are using him at the Vanderbilt. Good luck!
where did you read these negative reviews about Absolute Entertainment? I checked the vendor ratings page and everyone gave Absolute a 10. we are thinking of booking them. we met with Jeff and he was great. he understood exactly what we want and didn't try to push anything more on us.
