DJ's for Bourne Mansion

DJ's for Bourne Mansion

The Bourne Mansion has really high ceilings and I have read some reviews on here about people not having a dj that knows what to do in that room and it really echoes. Can anyone recommend a DJ that has experience with the Bourne?

I know it sounds dumb, but I used to sit up nights worrying about this. We're getting married at the Bourne in Sept. We met with 3 DJs. One told me to have a cocktail and relax, the house DJ Stan Wiest promised no echoes (he's done 300+ weddings there, so I totally believed him!). We ended up going with Bravura who are super pricey (in my opinion), but they bring their own sound technician (in addition to DJ and MC) and claim to have played there a lot. Fingers crossed it will all work out! I would call Stan or Bravura just to set your mind at ease. I also contacted a couple of brides, and they both said there was no echo. Anyway, hope that helps just a little!

Thanks so much, I was also wondering if the layout of the room is going to change now that they took out the organ. Ben said that the band/dj is going to go there now and I was wondering whether the dance floor would be moved over there as well? Right now it is in the center of the room. What do you think?

When did they do this work?? i'm getting married there in 4 months (i'll let you know how it goes) but i haven't been there since last March!

The took the organ out last week (haha I was on the phone with them while it was happening), and I think they are doing the landscaping/ fountain...is it the bathrooms? or bridal suite? In Jan or Feb.

I think they plan to move the dance floor over to the DJ/band place (they said having this where the organ was would help with acoustics too), but I'm sure you could convince them to put it elsewhere! They seem really flexible (and should be for the price :) ).

I know they were taking the organ out but I didnt even think to ask about how it was going to change the dance floor. I know they are redoing the landscaping in the next month, they redid the back a little bit (the enhanced the ceremony area) and they are repaving the front. I think they are redoing the bathrooms to, Im not sure about the bridal suite but that would be nice!
