OK FH, FMIL, FFIL, and my Mom and me all went to see a dj last night. Minus the fact that he put all of us in a room with no ac and showed us about 5 weddings, (none of which had the dj booth or the mc in any of it) and then proceeded to chatter the entire time. When I asked him for a price list he didn't have one ready!!! I don't know about anyone else but there hasn't been a single vendor that I made an appt. or just walked into, that hasn't had a price list available, or at least written things down and given me a copy then and there. Sorry that was so long, my point is who is everyone using? Why did you choose them? Thank you in advance, FH and I are totally lost when it comes to DJ's.

I don't know who you met with but the DJ that FH and I are really impressed with was Body Rock. We haven't actually gone for an appointment with them but we saw them at the Chateau Briand Showcase last week and they rattled off prices estimates off the top of their head when I asked (just so you know I was told their packages start around $1495)
They actually put on a demonstration that night too and they were AMAZING!!!! I would definitely recommend going to check them out if you haven't already.

Jeff and Kevin are the best to deal with (kevin is the owner)... jeff is the best MC around!
they are very personable and pricing is readily available in office and on their website

I am using Eddie from Unlimited Entertainment! He is awesome. He has a huge gorgeous office with top of the line equipment to show you everything he has. he has price lists and is extremely organized! I highly recommend him! He is located in Lindenhurst on Sunrise Hwy! FM me if you want more details.

Vinny From high voltage. He was so nice and helpful and dosent try to sell you anything. He gives you his packages/prcing explains what is in each and lets you decide on your own. Oh and his DJ booth is plain black no signs or ads. Prices range from about 750-2500 or so. HTH!

We're using Body Rock (www.bodyrockdj.com) - they were recommended by Jericho Terrace & we attended a wedding last year that they DJ'd & really liked them - the MC was really good & we thought that they would be a good fit for our wedding - pretty much a typical italian wedding! Plus, when we went to go check them out at their Carle Place office - the woman we met with (I think Joanne....) was incredibly personable & gave us some cut & dry honest info that actually distracted us from spending more money on things we really didn't need. Plus, since we booked at the same time that my FSIL did - we got money off the package.

Check out FM Entertainment. They have showcases in there office and you get to see how they would do you wedding. Everything is written out and given to you in a folder. Frank is great!!

I'm using VJ Entertainment, an LIW vendor. I've had him do other functions for me and he knows how to get the crowd rolling. Very reasonably priced as well. Check him out!
