Anyone used them or been to a wedding where they were the DJ? Opinions?
Using after hours! I love everyone I've met with them
I'm using after hours. I LOVE them! I saw their band at a showcase and saw Phil and knew he had to be my dj/mc. I also have two friends using him!
After Hours definitely! I looked into Tommy Tunes and LI Sound and honestly, neither one fit us. We don't want people in our guests' faces and honestly, if I saw my DJ fist pumping I'd probably scream. Meet with Phil - he's amazing and can fit any wedding type.
I met with LI Sound and I originally had them as my front runner, but after they were about 20-30 mins late for the appointment (no one was at offices at all - they share an office with a photog so he was nice enough to chat with us while we waited) I was turned off a bit. But it ended up coming down to price and I ended up booking elsewhere.
Im using Tommy Tunes. Been to 2 weddings with them as the DJ and liked them. Im getting ceremony, cocktail hour and reception for $1700. I didnt shop around after hearing the price, I booked them. Met with Tommy and really liked him.
I met with all three. I booked Tommy. He gave me the best price and his reputation speaks for itself. I've also been to 2 weddings with Tommy Tunes since booking and they were great!
We are booked with After Hours! Phil is very nice and doesnt push you to buy anything! We did meet with LI Sound and they made us wait for about 5 min in the lobby and then another 10 min in the back room. I didnt like that they were so commercial and made me kind of feel like just another bride. I like to deal with vendors that work out of their home and are down to earth. I do have to say that their showcase in the office is amazing. My one year old had a blast with all the lights and music.

Who's your MC?
We met with LI sound and Tommy Tunes. LI Sound quoted us very high for what we wanted to we ended up going with Tommy Tunes. We got a great price, they are SUPER accommodating, professional, have a great reputation, and even our MC, Joe E. has been wonderful with taking my questions and helping me out! You cant go wrong with Tommy Tunes
I went with Tommy Tunes. I met with After Hours too, but Tommy gave me a much better price. We loved Phil, but we went with Tommy. I've been to lots of weddings where Tommy is the DJ company and they're amazing, so I'm happy with my choice! I got Frankie as my MC, he's my favorite!
