extra for dresses over size 16? Some of my BM's are between 14 an 18 and the bridal place is charging an extra $100 for dresses over size 16?
Is this far since they make you order dresses 2 sizes bigger?

100 is A LOT to charge extra. My bridal shop charged 40 more.

all the bridal salons charge an extra fee for any size above 16 but its usually 20 to 60 extra 100 is alot IMO

well, Maid to Order only charges 60 for sizes bigger than 16

I have heard of additional charges for plus sizes. But, Im not sure how much because none of my girls are plus sized.

as far as I know Davids Bridal charges the same amount for dresses in sizes 2 to 24

I think that is an extremely high amount....I was only charged $50 and it was a wedding gown!!!!
$100 xtra...hmmmm.....almost as much as my BM dresses!

$100 is a lot but it's usually the designer, not the salon, that determines which sizes are extra.
Who is the designer of the dress?

I guess it all depends on who the designer is. I think one of my bm had to pay $25 extra for size 18 but they forgot to charge her when she went and paid the balance ( ) Anyway I know someone who is getting married and using Belsoie and for anything over a size 26 it has to be custom made and THAT is $100 extra.
I would shop around b/c it just seems too high to me.
