Tammyjill - I totally hear what you are saying about a bag lasting but I still am shocked. I have 2 work friends who have these bags but I didnt know they cost that much. I go have a really nice Coach bag that I got from my ex-boss' wife that I love but even so, I think it was less than half the price of the bags ya'll are talking about here.

I disagree anna, how can you say it isn't about the money? If I didn't have the money from my commission obviously I wouldn't be buying the bag. When you have the money you have more freedom to buy the things you wouldn't necessarily buy if you didn't.
I am sure you buy things I wouldn't dare think of buying. It is about someone's taste, and wants.
If I had a hole in my roof persay, and I couldn't afford to get it fixed, I wouldn't be buying $800 bags.

I have a similar bag but it's much more narrow so I don't think it's the same. I got it about 6 years ago and don't remember the name. I could never fit my laptop in it but I fit my big makeup bag, LV wallet, keys, cellphone in it. It wasn't $800 either, it was in the mid 400s I think.

I have that exact bag (bought in Paris last Sept for about $750) and am able to fit lots in it but not a laptop! It is roomy and I kept my wallet, palm pilot, lipsticks, and a book in it and lots of junk that piled up (receipts, etc.) I have currently switched to a Kate Spade bag for this month that is a little bit smaller and not as easy to access things. I am obsessed with handbags

I used to do that with my roommates all the time! It worked until 2 of us wanted to use the same bag on the same day.
I miss sharing! Mikey doesn't have any good bags...

Ronnie has some bags and some sick hats He loves hats and he always gets the matching sneakers too........
I love his LV record (messanger type ) bag and he has a guccii fag bag and a Prada bag too. He just got a LV atshae (sp)

I don't mind spending $$ on bags now. I haven't gotten a new one in awhile!! But its ok! I always get a fall winter bag...... When I can't afford to spend it anymore I won't!
