Well if I didn't live with FH that means I'd still be living with my parents which really means that I'd be locked up in a room with padded walls instead of planning a wedding. I am not even a little bit kidding when I say they drive me insane. So every side has it's perks, I consider not being committed one of them.

I am sure moving in right after the wedding is going to be amazing, but from what i read there are alot of adjustments, I know they say the grass is always greener, its so true though

I love my parents too, but love them so much more from afar...we have more of a friendship, they never tell me do anything, or pick up after myself, or clean my room or do stuff around the house...I am 27 years old, i couldnt imagine what life would be like living with them. i would probably be in the padded room right next to you Jess!

Right now i am living with my Inlaws, and they are soo nice they are lovely people, but i miss my privacy so much, I am lucky they let us live here why our house is being redone

when can you move in? you must be so excited...fh and I have a house in the works..which looks like we can move in around march..but i don't know what im going to do..my parents hate the idea of me living with him and im not paying a mortgage for a house that im not living in!!!!

my fh had the same thing! not a condo..but a tiny ranch..and there were 4 kids! he lived in the basement!

my fh had the same thing! not a condo..but a tiny ranch..and there were 4 kids! he lived in the basement!

Ummmm probably another coulple more months should be done by the wedding,
I saw your post about the house that is awesome, that is awesome you will close in march, Even if my parents were old fashioned, if i was old enough to get engaged, plan a wedding, buy a home, get a mortgage, i would live in the house i bought and paid for.

Me and My FH go against the grain, especially him he never listens to what his parents tell him to do.
My parents are divorced, so its a different situation.

I would not want to pay a mortgage if i am not living in the house. but its not like you dont have a date set and ur just shaking up. this is the man your going to marry, i know both our parents were so happy for us when we got our first apartment.
FH's parents came with us furniture shopping and Mattress shopping I clearly remember the 4 of us laying on beds at sleepys think wow how cool is this

I see where it may be hard if they are against you doing that

OMG i love that
RIght now i have a small room in FH's parents house.

NOw they a BIG house, its 3100 sq feet, 4 beds 3 baths
and i still feel like i have no privacy what so ever

I walk in the door, and its like that SATC episode when Aidan moves in and Carrie can barely get thorugh the door. and he is like where ya been, whod ya see, what do y know?

thanks nicole..we're real excited we didn't go into contract yet..but we will soon ..and engineer looked at the house and its perfectly ok!!! and can you talk some sense into my parents...they just don't get it!

yes...every time someone says lately that it's only about 5 months away i feel such relief...but at the same time it's not soon enough.

i've also been engaged for about a year and a half now. i just want to be his wife already. i want to be in st lucia on HM right now...as mrs. steve!!

omg girls we're all going to be MRS. !!!

actually i felt that way at first, but now its so close, i need this time, i want our house finished, and I am not in a rush, but time flies, it will be here soon...i dont want to rush it

Also i have lived with FH for over 3and a half years, will be 4 years by the wedding so its like we are married already

its two fold for me... i still have a 11 months to go, so im wicked anxious about it.

but FH and I officially live together since july (unofficially since may 06) so we feel married already

I do want the wedding to come tomorrow, but at the same time, I'm enjoying this! We planned ahead and are sitting back, working on the smallest details that some other people have no time for....basically, taking advantage of a year and 2 month engagment! lol

We are working full-speed on our house and are super-excited each time we finish something. The wedding is at the perfect time because our house will be done, we'll have furniture and be able to settle in.....I love it this way!

we've been engaged since July -so its been five months AND its starting to feel like the wedding is so far away! we have a little less than a year to go -but i wish it was sooner! i get ants in my pants about it sometimes

We've 'only' been engaged 7 months and still have some planning to do, so I'm not in a huge rush. FH and I live together (since May) in an awesome apartment with 2 kitties so I'm very happy with our current situation. I'm looking forward to being married, but if I had to push off the wedding 1-2 years or living together 1-2 years I'd push back the wedding! I can't live without him..

I felt this way for so long before we got married, and then it came and I couldn't believe how fast it went.... Believe me I feel so much better that it is over and done, but I wish I could have that day over and over....Enjoy as much as you can even when you feel like you CAN'T take it....Good Luck
