do banks charge a fee for certified checks?

I am NOT going to TD cause I am disgusted w them......

FH and I have jt acct at chase for the wedding...I want to make a $2500 payment for the eparty via certified check......does anyone know if there is/why there is a fee???

do all banks charge this?

I think it depends on the bank and the type of account. I would call Chase and ask them.

Yea, I think they all charge for certified checks

They do charge a fee and it's exorbitent.

I know it's not the same, but you'd be better off going to the post office or check cashing and buying a money order if that will suffice.
