Do children count as a guest at the reception?

Hey guys,

Me and the FH are putting together tentative invite lists and where curious if children, let's say underage 4 count? Do we have to pay for them too? Can they sit on their parents laps during the reception?

Most places we went to charged half price for kids and they don't include them in your head count unless you don't reach your minimum amount of people. HTH

Alot of RH will tell you that if they are going to have their own meals, own sodas, own place setting, etc... they will be charged 1/2 price. If they are young enough where they dont require their own meal or anything they are usually free. Some places actually set an age that is free.

You gotta check with the FH. Usually, under 4 is free and they don't count as a guest. Between ages 4-10 they're half price, but it's up to the hall to count them towards the minimum or not. Some places will include vendors and kids toward the min so you just have to ask.

i think under 4 or 5 is free and after that the kids are 50% off of the per head price....

I was told at Fox hollow that they charge 1/3 for kids. I don't know the ages though.

children under 16 are usually 1/2 prices but little little ones usually are free..it depends on the place..
