Do Churches have coordinators?

Do Churches have coordinators?

We're getting married in a Catholic Church. I know that the priest will run the rehearsal, but who (if anyone) runs the actual ceremony *before* we get up to the altar? E.g., who tells the ceremony musicians to start the processional (I assume they don't just go on a timeline - what if the bride is late?), etc.?

Thanks so much!

Some churches have coordinators, and some don't. I know that my church has one, but my best friend got married last month, and her church had no coordinator.

The musicians will probably start the processional when they see everyone lined up and ready to go.

My limo drivers were primarily in charge of that. It like comes with the duty.. They jsut took charcge, made sure we were all relaxed and did a GREAT job doing it!! There was also a church sexton that played a big role in organizing everything before I got there.

sometimes a nun will be your coordinator, or sometimes it is a volunteer from the parish.

if you want someone to coordinate with the organist and soloist, ask the priest if there is someone that normally does that and if not, maybe you can ask someone (an aunt, cousin, friend) to help?
