Do fake rose petals fly like real petals?

I was going to get some fake rose petals instead of throwing leaves because they are too light to throw Do the real petals fly better then the fake ones? TIA

I was thinking of doing the same thing. That's a good point about them maybe not flying as well.

I think they would fly better b/c they are lighter than real petals... I was going to use fake petals but by throwing them on the ground is kind of like littering... and I don't know if that's good outside the church..

Honestly, I went to peabody's wedding last week and the real petals didn't fly too well either. They were in the petal holder thing, and I didn't know whether to throw them all at once or a few at a time. They definitely didn't reach them--I threw a few and my FH threw his whole thing of them. Only half of his came out, and my few didn't reach them anyway...

I think petals in general are light so they are hard to throw... that's why I was thinking about bubblee... what else do people do? what else can you throw?

I was thinking of some alternates
Dried Flowers
Bird Seed
Confetti ??

Bubbles are nice, but on a windy day, the bubbles blow back in the guest's face.
Rice is bad for the birdies, so I won't do that. :)

Anyone else have some unique ideas??
