Trying to figure out a way to personalize out picture frame/place card holder favors and I can't. Is it necessary? The only thing I can think of is putting a sticker on the back of one with a monogram but that I think seems tacky, no?
Ideas?

You could print up something and put it in teh frame like a thank you poem or something like that but it's totally not necessary.

I'm not sure if people will realize that their placecard holder is also their favor and they may be looking for something else I have holders also that guests can take with them, but also giving out an edible favor to be put on the tables... I dont think putting a monogram or anything personalized will look right on that since it will be on display and not in a box or something... i would leave it alone and consider giving out chocolates or something small in addition on the table

It's actually a pretty nice frame and I think people will realize. We're going to have personalized stuff, matches and lip gloss in the ladies room and mints in the mens room and things like that I think.

i dont think you need to personalize them.. I mean the place card will be in the frame I am gathering so they are personalized in that sense. I like the idea of having a poem as somoene else mentioned-- but it depends on how big it is and also if you are using it a sa place card, i imagine that they will have epoples names on the inside thus no room for anything else (i.e. poem etc).
Depending on how big the frame is can you engravethe outside with your names, monogram , or a picture of something that fits your theme? Otherwise to tell you the truth if these frames are your favors and will be re -used by your guests they would probably prefer not to have them personalized.
Btw love the idea of personalized mints, glosses etc in the bathroom!

I don't think you need to personalize it. If you want, maybe you can hot glue gun a little flower or bow onto the frame. Michael's has tiny flowers or ribbons/bows for that kind of thing.

I totally disagree with this.
I think a nice frame escort card / table card is a lovely gift, and I don't think it has to be personalized in any way.
First of all, no one needs to get a favor at a wedding, and people who 'expect' it are going to be disappointed a lot. They're there to share your day. If you give them a take-home momento, that's a very kind gesture on your part, but completely not necessary.
Second, if it's a nice small frame, that's a useful item. As soon as you personalize it by making your mark on it, it becomes just a touch less useful. They're going to remember where they got the frame, and that will help them think of the wonderful time they had with you on your day!
Don't feel pressure to follow what seems to be the norm around here regarding favors. Do what matters to you most and what you feel comfortable with. Don't worry about expectations because all people really expect is to have a wonderful day enjoying life with you and FH.
But the bottom line is... no, favors don't have to be personalized at all. Any gift you give your guests besides their wonderful day is an unexpected small treasure and will be appreciated.

Thanks ladies. Yes, they are decorated with shells and starfish and things, as we have a beach theme :)

IT really isn't necessary to personalize them..but if you're doing a frame as a place card holder /favor your can type something up with your name and the date...
