do i change my name on my passport before the honeymoon?
what is everyone planning on doing. i am not going away for my honeymoon for a few months after the wedding. i do plan on changing everything else with my new last name---- does this mean i also have to change my passport before we go? how much will this cost? what did everyone else do? will the security @ the airport not let me fly if my passport has my old name? (I didnt book my flight yet)

book your flights with your maiden name and use your maiden name passport.
i'm not officially changing my name on documentation until after the honeymoon. besides, you need your marriage certificate to do some stuff.
eta: also I think it takes like 6 weeks to change your passport so i guess it depends on how long after you are honeymooning if there is enough time (if so, then book with your married name)

Your passport needs to have the same name you booked your flights in. for this reason most people leave the passport in the maiden name

Leave it in you maiden name! Change it all when you get back
