I have been friends with this girl since high school. She will b my make up artist.. She is related to MOH's bro by marriage (confusing?) Anyways..she will b doing my make up day of and I want her to stay for the rest of the ceremony and reception. Should I invite her formally or just ask her to stay??? Also, I don't want to give her a 'plus one' she's kinda married?

Re: Do I formally invite my Vendor / Friend?
Hmm... if you're gonna invite her, then formally invite her don't just be like hey... come to my wedding.
And if you do that, I don't think you can invite her without her husband. Sorry. If I were married and got invited to a wedding, I would a) be assuming my husband was invited and b) be kind of anoyed if I was invited by myself.
Also, if you invite her informally, she may informally assume her husband is coming with her, and how do you tactfully tell someone to their face that they can't bring their husband?

ITA ... you should send her an invite or else she might assume that you need a seat filler. I would be mad if my fiance was not invited to a wedding with me let alone my husband.

'Kinda married'? If she is married I would send an invite with a plus one...I am inviting my singer and his wife, and the minister to the ceremony and reception...Sending invites in the mail with directions and it looks like you are inviting them and not asking to fill space or as an afterthought... If you can't afford to add them both, I would skip invite them to the ceremony.

Re: Do I formally invite my Vendor / Friend?
My florist was an old friend of mine, but I also sent him a formal invite, with his girlfriend. If you want her there as a guest, send the invite. But if you want her there to work, that's different.
