My wedding is approaching SO fast, and I had originally booked my hair and makeup at Nubest Salon. And after reading everyones reviews it seems everyone has someone come to their house? Am i making a huge mistake to go to the Salon?

Re: Do I go to a salon for wedding day hair>?
I'm planning to go to the salon, and I am totally confident in that. I think many brides bring someone to their house b/c they need to start getting ready early, or on Sunday when salons aren't open (or aren't open early enough), but for us the timing works out fine, since the salon opens at 9. This way we can have multiple people getting hair done at once, and I think it will be nice to kind of take over the salon (also cheaper!)

I was also thinking that it might be RELAXING to get out of the element to be pampered before heading to my moms house to get ready!!
Thanks for the boost.LOL

it may depend on when your ceremony is. I know with a 12:30 ceremony photographers were saying pictures start at 9:30, so we would need someone there for hair and makeup at 7-7:30, before most salons are open to do everyones makeup and hair

I'll be going to a salon...I don't want to pay more money to have a stylis and make-up artist come to my house, plus it's going to be so crazy at my house, as others said, I think it'll be calmer for me to go elsewhere to get these things done.

I went to the salon for my hair-but MU was done at my house. i think you are fine going and getting it done at a salon as long as you have the time for the travel figured in

i'll beat that...LOL not only did I go to a salon, but only 2 of my girls got their hair done! the other 2 did their own hair back at my parents house! LOL i gave them the choice of whether to get their hair done, and 2 of them decuded to do their own, and ya know? they all looked great! it worked out nice going to a salon because like you said it was nice to be there and relaxing instead of having my parents phone ringing off the hook, etc. it was also good becasue we each had our own girl so we were done very quickly. i think as long as you have a little extra time figured in for travel, it should work out! good luck!!

i wanted to go to a salon - more room, more people to work on you etc. But everyone was charging me $50 per person just to walk into the door because we had to be out by 9:30-10 (sunday). SO tomorrow I hope to book someone who will come to the house.

I am planning on going with my girls to a Salon! Plus my house is going to be crazy!!! I perdict my house calling me constantly..'Where are you?'..lol I can see the writing on the walls already. While I get ready I am going to have 10 family members waiting for me to get into my dress!!! Those 10 people are not even including my Girls!!!

I'm definitely going to the salon. I don't need ANYONE ELSE in my house that morning. This way we can have multiple people getting done at a time and I can get out of my house for a little R & R! I think it's a good idea to go out unless for some reason the salon would not be available when you need it to be!!

I think it depends on your living situation. If you live with family then a salon seems like a better idea because with everyone else getting ready it can be hectic. Going to a salon is usually cheaper too.
No one will be at my house the morning of except me and my BMs. So I am having a hair and makeup person come to my house. For me it just seems more relaxing. Driving to a salon and back would give me anxiety.

financially, I am choosing the salon. I have a 10 yr old that will be the fg and everyone wants to charge 150 for her and another 150 for me. Be sure to have a big umbrella in case of rain. that is my main concern.
