do i have the right to be annoyed...?

ok- so maybe its me because i don't feel well, am home sick from work and have been so stressed with work and grad school....however...

I sent my photographer a confirmation email on 8/12/13 to confirm my e-shoot for 9/26/13. So approximately 45 days. Now I did that because I go to graduate school at night and work full time so I wanted to be sure I took the day off to get my hair done, nails, make up etc and I'm stressed at work as it is! So anyway, I just get an email today from my photographer asking if I can change the date of my e-shoot to this coming monday 9/23 instead of 9/26. Um- NO! I work 12 hours on Mondays so I can leave early the days I have class, I have a test tuesday, and I won't have time to get my nails done, hair cut, and not for nothing, but I scheduled a hair and make up appointment if they can't accommodate me I would be SOL. The reason they gave is another bride's wedding is before mine and she didn't schedule her e-shoot.....um like thats not my problem. I scheduled this back in April for September and both FH and I took the day off from work as it is!!!! what the heck!!! I sent a nice email saying thats not possible and we need to keep our 9/26 appointment.


Like for real- do I have the right to be furious by this? I mean I'm flexible and accommodating and had I been given notice maybe a month ago- I would have gladly changed but you cannot be serious to send me that email on a friday afternoon and expect me to jump and change to 3 days from now! Really!!?!?!?!?!?

Yes, you have every right to be annoyed. A bride getting married before you is NOT your problem and it's asinine for them to think that's ok.

It is shocking how many vendors don't understand that brides have jobs. I have been looked at like I have 5 heads when I say weekdays don't work and that its difficult to leave early. I hate people, I'm with you.

thank god! I thought I was nuts- again I'm very very flexible, easy going, and accommodate (part of my job is accommodating to families ridiculous requests and i always am very flexible), however, absolutely NOT 3 days prior to when you want me to have it done!!! NO WAY! A month notice- no problem, 3 days- not even at this point 2 days- absolutely not!

I told them flat out I wasn't budging. Not my problem!!!! so one way or another i am getting those pictures done on the 26th. And the worse part is I loved them as a vendor... hopefully all turns out well and i don't have any more issues!

Funny, the same thing happened to us a few days ago. Our photographer had a valid reason, however, and was very accommodating trying to reschedule. But yeah, those few hours where we were trying to work things out gave me serious anxiety, thinking of all the things I'd have to reschedule. We managed to keep it on the same day as well, glad you didn't budge.
