My cousin just offered to lend me her veil. It's beautiful, and exactly what I'd want - fingertip length, two-tier, and dotted with crystals. But her dress was white, and mine is ivory. Would you be able to tell that the veil and dress didn't match exactly in my pics?

I think you could probably get away with wearing the veil you want. when i was looking at dresses, i wore an ivory veil on an ivory dress and i asked the lady if i needed to buy an ivory veil and she said - it is! haha. i couldn't tell, it looked white to me. but, as mentioned, if you're worried, i would maybe bring it into the store and ask to see a swatch of the dress fabric and match it up. I saw some swatches and the white and ivory looked sooo similar. good luck.

IMO and from my experiences, you will be able to tell. It could make your dress look dirty. I can even tell the difference between a white and a diamond white veil!!! White veils tend to be VERY white - I wouldn't wear a white veil even with a diamond white dress but that's because I'm very anal and little things like that would irk me all day. I just wouldn't want my dress to look dirty.
But I recommend you try it on with your dress and see how it looks - maybe the colors will be much closer than I think.

You need an ivory veil. You will be able to tell and it will make your dress look dingy in the pictures. When I went to pick out my veil, I tried on many veils with my dress. Some samples only came in white or ivory (while my dress is diamond white). You can definitely tell, and you'll also be able to tell in pictures. Go with a veil that matches your dress. You can try it on (and be sure to take pics as colors look different in pictures) to be sure -- but I really think you need an ivory veil!
