Do I have to do menus for a buffet dinner?

Do I have to do menus for a buffet dinner?

I am having a traditional Indian wedding with indian food. Indian food is usually a whole bunch of sides and maybe one meat dish or two, with salad and an assortment of breads.

Due to this much variety, we can't have a seated dinner. Should we have menu cards at the table? Not sure if it's necessary.

Please advise. Thanks!

You can, but its not necessary. I would make sure the people serving explained what each dish was.

In front of each dish we are having note cards that say the name of the dish and also what that means in English.

For example: Aloo (Potatoes)

I think that is perfect!
If you want to add menus at the table, it would be a nice touch, but definitely not necessary if you are pressed for time/money, etc.
