at my church ceremony? Is anyone doing a different tradition? I may not do anything at all...is that terrible?

Re: DO I have to do the unity candle
I don't think it's terrible that you don't do it. We're not getting married at a church, but we're doing the sand ceremony tying me, FH and my son together. Err not really tying us together, ya know what I mean.

Nope. The unity candle is actual a relatively new tradition and not really a 'church' tradition. We didn't do one. Instead we brought flowers to the Blessed Mother.
