I want to have at least a small e-party so at the very least our families can meet, but I have a feeling, that I'll want to invite everyone like I always do.
Would it be bad if I use the same venue for both the e-party and the wedding?
*sigh*
I'm hoping my sister will agree to a BBQ or something at her house for the e-party.

I dont think its bad. I personally just want something smaller...although...it will be opposite...our e-party will be huge and the wedding will be small!

Re: Do I have to have different venues?
I personally wouldn't do it... becaue i wouldn't want to take away from the wedding day...by inviting the same people back tothe same place...... but i think if you did it up totally different different colors, decorations.... then it can work.
we are having a small engagement dinner.. 50 people!

Re: Do I have to have different venues?
this is the age of anything goes, so you should do what you want. i, however, and a BIG fan of keeping the e-party cheap and easy, so i wouldn't want it to become a second wedding. we had something tasteful and FUN for a fraction of the cost.

Why not... when people see how awesome your eparty is they'll know to give A LOT more at the wedding!

I don't think it is bad....as long as you are happy and it doesn't take away from the specialness of your wedding day go for it!

Re: Do I have to have different venues?
It might be a good preview but it also might be too much of a repeat. You could probably throw 2 completely different parties that would be equally fantastic - this is up to you
