Do I HAVE to invite FMIL to the Bachelorette Party if I'm inviting my mom??
I want my mom at my bachelorette party because I am very close with her and she parties harder than me!!
FMIL and I have never been close nor has she ever been nice to me or liked me. There's drama though because my mom is saying that I HAVE to invite her because my mom is coming...
FH's mom wouldn't drink or dance and doesn't like loud music, I wouldn't feel comfortable being drunk in front of her and she would affect the overall mood of the night. One of my BM's is FH's sister so she would obviously know about the event and when it was happening.
I'm thinking that I'll invite her and hope and pray that she doesn't come...Thoughts?? (BM said she probably wouldn't because she knows she wouldn't enjoy herself)

You don't HAVE to do anything you don't want to BUT you may want to invite her just to keep the peace. I will cross my fingers she says no.

Re: Do I HAVE to invite FMIL to the Bachelorette Party if I'm inviting my mom??
What are you doing for the Bachelorette Party? Maybe FH's mom could come out to dinner with everyone, but leave before the craziness begins.
Then you can still feel like you did the right thing by inviting her, and she can feel like she did the right thing by accepting your invitation.
Perhaps FH's sister can suggest to her mom that she come and leave early, and let her know that no feelings will be hurt if she does so.
That way it makes it look like you're trying to accommodate her, not like you're trying to accommodate the fact that you don't wanna party with her. lol.

Re: Do I HAVE to invite FMIL to the Bachelorette Party if I'm inviting my mom??
I totally feel your pain. I'm not inviting my mom to my bachelorette party because she doesnt party like that anymore. But a couple of months ago my FMIL had mentioned how she cant wait for my bachelorette party and how she is going to have so much fun with all her sisters, and Sammy's other aunts and cousin etc. I was like, hold up...I'm not inviting any of those people!! Bachelorette parties are suppose to be fun and stress free and I'm getting plastered and there is no way I'm going to get plastered in from of my FMIL because 1) she will remember and 2) it will come up in later conversation
In terms of your situation, you can 'extend' an invitation to your FMIL to be 'nice' but make the party really uninviting. Say something like, 'well we're going to be going to like 10 bars and all the popular clubs which are so loud and its just going to crazy!' Old people hate noise! Good Luck!!
