My FH and mom really think I need to send these. Granted neither of them has given me their full address list yet and I am basically doing ALL the wedding planning without FH help. Yet I should do these reminders??? My feeling is that I sent an email reminder to my out of town guests, my family all knows when it is and our closest friends know the date. I believe if you aren't there so be it- I guess its not that important to you. No big deal to me- I would rather smaller and more intimate anyway. My minimum is only 100. So my question is will I be slapped with wedding bows 50 for NOT sending STD's??????

I guess it depends on how many out of town guests you jave. If not many, don't bother, save the money

I agree--it depends on 1) how many OOT guests you have and 2) how far away they're travelling from. If they don't have to book flights, I wouldn't send them out. But I think that sending an email reminder might be a little too casual/informal for a wedding.

I don't think it is necessary. If many people are from out of town, it might be nice to make a little something. They don't need to be too extravagant if you do.

I wasn't going to since most of my OT's are my family. Then I fell in love with the magnet idea and think I will send them to everyone . But STD's are not something you have to do. The last 2 weddings I was involved in didn't do them.

I think they are cute, but you definitely dont have to do them. For holiday weekends or for friday night or sunday night weddings I think its a good idea to send them out if you have a minimum to meet..but otherwise its not necessary IMO

I recently got paranoid about sending out the STD- I think too many people are going to come if I give them this much notice! I want some no's...
