Do I need a purse?

Did you bring a purse to your reception?

I have no idea if I really need one!

I'm not using one. They are small and tiny; you can barely fit a thing into them. And I will probally carry a lot of stuff with me (hairspray, deodarant, make-up, etc.).

You never see the bride carry one. You don't take a picture with it, you don't carry one into and out of church, you don't carry it into the reception.

Instead, I am getting a tote bag that says 'Here comes the bride'.

I know I've been trying to figure out a way to convince the woman doing my alterations that needs to create a pocket for my in my dress so I can carry around my lipgloss.

I'll be leaving all of my belongings in a locked bridal suite and using my bridal party as spare pockets.

I don't think you need one. If anything it would be just for show I think. I am just going to keep all my stuff in the bridal suite and go in there to do 'touch-ups'.

i opted to save some money and skipped the purse. My MOH had a tote with all my emergency kit stuff and I just threw anything extra i wanted in there (like my lipstick and face powder, etc)

its up to you. I wasnt going to get one but the week before my wedding, i was at tri-county and happened to walk by a white purse and thought why not.

Did come in a bit handy that day. I brought it with me but left it in the rolls when i went into the church, then after when i went on the party bus i took it with me on there. Worked out bc i had lipgloss with me when i was taking pics, i just had it to the side whenever i needed it. Carried my camera, plus i smoke so i had my cigs in there. Plus make up artist gave me a few stuff to touch up make up incase i needed it. I did have an overnight bag with a bunch of stuff but my DOC took it from my house morning of and brought it to RH with her since i didnt want to carry that with me in the limo and then to RH.

Its not something you have to have but if you want one you can. And no you dont walk with it into the church or into reception. When i got to RH, i brought it into bridal suite and left it there.

It was like $30 so nothing outrageous.

need no, i justed wanted to have one. I was glad i did although it stayed in the bridal suite most of the night.

My FSIL lent me hers so it'll be my 'something borrowed'. She didn't even end up using it at all (it's still in the plastic/box) but it actually matches my gown perfectly. It's a clutch and I'll keep a lipgloss in there, maybe some bobby pins. Perhaps my camera too.

u do not need one - i had my one and it was put in the bridal suite and never left it until the end of the night when i went home.

I won't by carrying a purse. I will leave a lot of stuff in the bridal suite and probably some extra lipstick with my mom so I can reapply frequently.

I will have one for my lipstick /compact under my table probably - Not going tot run to the bridal suite everytime I need ot reapply lipstick - Also goo dincase you go out afterwards to be able to carry license /money etc.

probably get a cheap one from Tri County

I plan on purchasing one so i can keep some lipgloss, mints(don't want to have stinky breath) and other things i'll think of later on.

I did not have a purse - felt it wasn't necessary.

I kept everything in a tote bag in my bridal suite at the RH. My bridal attendant would get me what I needed (mainly lipstick and powder) as necessary.

I had a purse. It was tiny but Im glad I had it. I carried my lipstick and mirror for touchups, and tissues (b/c my nose runs 24-7)

its also good for before reception. Thats when i really used it. But i didnt take pics at the RH, i went to 2 locations to take pics. So this way i had my bag by me when i wanted to use the lipgloss or smoke a cig, or look in the mirror to see how i looked. Also on the party bus, i didnt bring my overnight bag with me on the party bus, DOC had it so it was good i brought myown bc its when i neededit most.
