Sooo, we're getting married at the RH. Our bridal party consists of my MOH, FH's BM, two flower girls (one might be ring bearer as well).
I can't really decide whether or not we need a rehearsal, just doesn't seem necessary.
Thoughts??
EDIT: I've also never been to a rehearsal before and nobody in my family has either so I don't even know what it consists of really except what I've seen on WeTV and Wedding Channel lol

Re: Do I need a rehearsal?
Sometimes its a good idea because anyone who hasnt been to or been in a wedding would then know exactly how it goes and what the procedure is.

Re: Do I need a rehearsal?
We're having our ceremony at the RH too and we're going to ask our pastor if he will do a little rehearsal the night before at the church. I've been to ceremonies at RH's where the bridal party looked like they had no clue what they were supposed to do!

Re: Do I need a rehearsal?
Can I do the rehearsal dinner with just the main family members?
For example:
My immidiate family and FH's immidiate family (my sister and his brother are our bridal party, and nieces are my flower girls)?
I don't really want to extend it further than that - but is that normal?
Also, I'd prefer not to make everyone drive out to the RH for a practice run - can we do it elsewhere?

Re: Do I need a rehearsal?
My brother was married at the Reception Hall as well, and there were 4 of us in the bridal party. They did not have a rehearsal but took us all out to an awesome dinner about a week before the wedding as a thank you. The actual 'rehearsal' was the bridal attendant telling us what to do 2 minutes before walking down the aisle!

I like this idea A LOT and sounds about right to what will happen hah.
Who did your brother end up inviting to the RD?

Re: Do I need a rehearsal?
FH doesn't want one. He said how hard grit to walk down an isle and stand in the front. We will figure it out without a rehersal. Probably no dinner either so we can get a gift from his dad.

I think I remember you being a WM bride. If so I was in a friends wedding there and we learned what to do right before the ceremony. The did a walk through in the cocktale hour room.

Yup, that's me . That's good to know - I figured they'd help us out! Now I just need to figure out who walks with who and when, but I have time to do that hah.

Re: Do I need a rehearsal?
I dont think we are rehearsing. We cannot use our RH the night before and I think the bridal party will be OK walking down the aisle. We are still planning to do some type of dinner though.

my cousin did this as well. we hung out in their backyard that night though making a fake aisle so we atleast knew which side of the room we were supposed to be on, etc.

He kept it small, just the bridal party and our dates. I would probably do the same and add some valuable key family members; close uncles, aunts, cousins.

Re: Do I need a rehearsal?
We are getting married at the RH also, we decided it wasnt necessary to do a rehearsal. My DOC said she will tell everyone what to do before the ceremony, I figure between her and my BA everything should be fine. If anything we will have a get together at the house or a resturant just as a way to say thank you.

I am not having one. but we are still having a 'RD' aka just to eat and for out of town guests. but I am jewish and i have never been to a jewish RD i just dont think it is custom--- especially if it is at the RH most of the time they do a run through in the morning. I think it is more popular for those @ churchs

Re: Do I need a rehearsal?
I'm getting married at the RH and going to have a short rehearsal like an hour before the ceremony...except I dont think I will participate in it. Even though me and FH are seeing each other that day for pics, I dont want him to see me walk down the aisle in my dress until the actual ceremony starts :) But I think no rehearsal or a quick run through is fine...
I'm probably also going to do something a week before, like maybe a 'pre-wedding brunch' or something for the BP, readers, parents, as a thank you instead of having a rehearsal dinner.
Hope that helps!! Lots of luck :)

Re: Do I need a rehearsal?
We're getting marred at RH and we're going to go for a rehearsal but no Rehearsal Dinner, we're trying to save as much money as possible. We have to do a rehearsal on Thursday since the RH has weddings on Fridays. I don't think Russians don't do them so they wouldn't understand it..
All of our GM's are all in different states so we also might just do it a couple of hours before the ceremony since we're going to be taking pictures anyway
