I was just wondering if i need to have a theme. I just buy what I like and hope that it looks nice. I dont have one theme for the whole day. Is that ok?

I dont think you need a theme at all. as long as the wedding is 'you' it will be beautiful

Re: Do I need a Theme?
Most people don't have themes. I have a beach theme because it is a running theme in our relationship and one of our favorite places.
We first kissed on the beach, we went to the beach after dinner on our first date and he led me to the beach (by way of scavenger hunt and treasure map) and proposed to me there.
You have to be a little careful with a theme, it can turn into a Bar Mitzvah very easily if you aren't careful about the cheesy-ness.

that is true. I just see cute things, little things for the wedding but nothing goes together. I really dont care because i dont think too many people will be analyzing that but just wanted to be sure. Thanks ladies

Re: Do I need a Theme?
i think a theme only works if people will understand why you picked it. i dont think its something that has to be done at al. i did one because it was the kind of wedding i always wanted but so of the best weddings i have been to didnt have a set theme. l

Re: Do I need a Theme?
I had never thought of doing one, until i saw little boxes in the shape of sailboats. Now I'm doing a Nautical theme, boats, lighthouses etc. It also made sense for me since my FH is a Merchant Marine, and we are getting married right by the water at the Merchant Marine Academy!
