I can just have a regular invitation with an outer envelope??? lol I don't see the need for two envelopes.

nope... there was a post last week on this, it dates back really far in history to when people had servants and they opened the mail.. prevented them from seeing... something along those lines..

I also think its a waste!
I think I may abandon the envelope thing completely and try these things called Seal and Sends.. They look pretty cool, but I've never actually seen em in person before

Don't need 'em.
My invites were from C'est Papier, which is considered to be a higher end company. They don't do inner envelopes (at least not in any of the books I looked at from them).

Of course you don't need an inner envelope. Are the Wedding Police going to come and get you if you don't have one? They're a pointless waste of paper, in my opinion. In the old days, the butler or maid would remove the dirty outer envelope and present the pristine inner envelope to the master or mistress of the house. That's what it was for. I don't know anyone who lives like that, do you? Don' t worry about it. And maybe they'll cost less in postage, too.

I would have thought you would have needed an extra envelope with the bow being the size it is going through the mail. It's good to know that type of style went through ok. By the way, your invitations are GORGEOUS!! I love them, where did you get them? (if you don't mind my asking)
