We didn't...when we got to the hotel the consierge (sp?) explained the different activities for us and booked them as well.

Does anyone have estimates of the prices of excursions, activities and food. We're trying to decide if we can afford Hawaii and I need to figure these costs in. Thanks!

The only activity/meal we booked in advance was the Feast at Lele (luau) because its a small and popular venue. If you know 100% that you want to do something, you might as well book in advance.

We booked everything when we were there and had no problems at all.

Check out gohawaii.com I got an Aloha planner and requested to get a Kauai planner and Maui planner from their own visitors bureau sites. The aloha planner has details on different excursions, what islands they companies are available, restaurants. Its a good guide that I will be using before we go on our HM!
