Do I need to have something for guests to throw or wave at us?
We're getting married at our hall -- should I have something for guests to throw at us (we can't use colored rose petals because of the carpet, but maybe white?) or wave (like ribbon wand or bells) as we come up the aisle? I really don't care because I'm sure they'll be clapping (right?) so isn't that enough? Thanks for the opinions!

I think the white petals would work. I LOVE petals because they photograph beautifully, s if you can do them, go for it!
Ribbon wands look so cute too!

You certainly don't have to have anything!! We're also getting married at the RH and we're giving everyone lil bells to ring. Figured this would be cute and not messy, and it takes the place of church bells. Plus, it'll be a lil mini favor!

YOu don't have to do anything. We're going to have bells for people to ring.

Hey Jen, we are doing everything at one place too and are not allowed to have anything thrown. I am fine with it. I always recall the horror stories of people getting the stuff in their ears and going deaf. Wow what a Debbie Downer I am. Ugh. So no we are not doing it. Oh a brighter note, did you get your shoes? How was Canada?

I agree, you don't have to throw anything at all. I've been to several weddings, specifically ceremonies at a hall, where people just clapped.

I don't think it's that big of a deal, although it looks nice in pictures.
I went out of my way to bag up TONS of rose petals for the guests, and bubbles too!
Guess what, NOBODY even knew what to do with them! So it was a waist of money and time, because nobody threw them at us!
Oh Well!

I already bought bubbles. Id really love the guests to throw something but now if they do all the bubbles will pop
You can hand out little bells for ringing. But you dont need anything. Do what you really want
