Do I or Dont?

Do I or Dont?

I took my 'fake' nails off back when I knew I had a wedding to save for. My nails are now healthy but short and looking kind of crummy due to the cold.
I want to put them back on!!!
I miss them and how they look and in 3 1/2 months I was going to put them on anyways....for my wedding.

So, do I do it??

My coworker is like, dont do it!!!

Money well,....wedding is almost here.

Hmm, I say don't do it. They always kill my nails. What about just going for regular manicures? That seems to work for me, keeps my nails looking nice and it's cheap.

I am debating the same freaking thing!!! I want the nails SOOOOOO bad, especially now thats it's the holidays!! I think I'm just going to do it, but I have 6 mo..... why deprive myself? I am going w/o so much lately!!

I wore extensions for YEARS from 1991-2004 and I took them off right before I met FH. They sucked up any extra money I had and took time that I was not happy about sacrificing. I contemplated putting them back on for the wedding but then I remembered it took at least 3-4 months before they regained full strength again. I keep them trimmed and manicured when I can. I plan on using a very light pink polish for the wedding as I did for the e-pics and it looked fine.

Well, I guess I'm the odd one here.

I get my nails done every 3 weeks. Yes, it costs money. But, I enjoy it! I know I am saving for a wedding. But, I need to have some relax time for myself.
Plus I LOVE the way they look.

The choice is yours. If you want to get them done, I say go for it. Otherwise wait til your wedding.

I agree with Michelle! I'd say do them. Even if you wait until the holidays are over.

don't do it, IMO.

I used to have silk wraps for YEARS and took them off a few years ago. I used Nailtiques (#2) everyday for a month and they grew so strong! it's about $10 a bottle but TOTALLY worth it! you will love having natural nails. it's $7 for a manicure

Don't do it! I had acrylics for a while and they totally ruined my nails. For the wedding, I don't really want to go through that again. So I bought a 4-sided nail buffer from the Body Shop, and it works well. Also I use Dior apricot nail creme (from Sephora) and it keeps my nails hydrated. It's a lot cheaper and your nails will be healthy. Then you can just get a manicure on your natural nails for the wedding.

Unfortunely I need to have long nails. But the last place that did it infected two of my nails with fungus. I'm really pissed about it. I had to let all the nails fall off, and they had my pinkie nails too tight I think because both of them cracked very low on the nail and I have to wait for that to heal be I can get them again. I'm NEVER using the place in coram again right on 112 in the strip mall with handy pantry again!

i would say don't do it.

i personally don't like the look of fake nails--you can always tell no matter how well they were done. and they ruin your nails.

my vote would be for you to take care of your nails with nailtiques and regular manicures and let your real nails grow long and healthy. you can do it!!

I love mine..just got a new set today! Yes it does cost money(that I should be saving)...but I like they look. I am thinking about doing away with them after the wedding

thats not nice!! people have different opinions. i say, its good to save the money...but you also need to be destressed and happy about yourself. when i used to get mine done that was my ME TIME and it was really the only time i had to relax....so it was worth it for me....at some point it just became a pain so i stopped....i say, if you can fit it in..and its time you think will relax you or feel good about yourself then go for it, otherwise save money for a bit longer!

Having my nails done makes me feel dressed. No matter what I do, I can't get my nails to grow. I say get them if you want them.

I have a permanent french.

Re: Do I or Dont?

Were you planning on getting them put on again before the wedding? If you were then its okay to do it now so you get used to them again. I had them on for years, off to save money and I got married in April just like you are so I started them again in January.

Re: Do I or Dont?

With regular care my nails grow nice and long (not dragon lady long. but a full centimeter past the nail bed). A few weeks ago a had a major nail malfunction (7 out of 10 broke). I decided to just say sc@@@ it and leave them off. After one day I was totally nuts. I hated the way my fingers looked (short and stubby). I promptly put tips on all the broken nails. I except my natural nails will have completely grown in, and have been cut several times by the time my wedding date rolls around.

If you put fake nails on now (instead of waiting) you will have a good chance of your nails being all grown in by the day your wedding arrives.

And, YOUR DAY, YOUR WAY . . . if you want them go for it!!

I have permanent french nails and have have them forever!

I just dont know what I would do without them.

I think I may try to leave them off for a while after the wedding, but for now I will keep them.
