DO I OR DONT I Please Take A poll

Okay here is the Story .. I went to a party for my cousin and As FH & I were leaving we said good bye to her aunt ( No relation to me at ALL ) Just out of respect ..
She said Dont forget to send me an inviation to your wedding If I dont get one im coming anyway & Laughed..
FH & I looked at each other and said Great One more person on the list that is already 50 people over... What would you do??

It's so annoying when people 'jokingly' ask to be invited - it's your wedding, you decide who comes.

avoid her as much as possible and don't invite her
if you see her after the wedding, it's all over and who cares!!!

I agree . . this has happened a few times. I figure if you weren't on the list and I am not that close to you then I am not inviting you. I wish I coudl have everyone there that wanted to be there, but unfortunately I simply cannot afford 200+ people.

where do people get their manners from?? seriously...

don't invite her... my feeling is, if you have them on your list because you are afraid of hurting their feelings or committing some 'faux pas', then they aren't the people you actually WANT at your wedding - so don't invite them!!

if shes not related to you personally and you really have no contact with her or see her ever DEF DO NOT invite her.
however is she is at a lot of your family functions and you have a repoire i think it wouldnt be a bad thing to invite her but also not really required by any means either. just put her on your C list lol..

I agree.

FH had people at his job actually ask to be invited. I'm glad he has the moxie to tell these people NO you are not being invited.

Close friends and family get invited. Casual acquaintances do not get invited.

I wouldn't. If she thought she might be invited, she wouldn't have said anything. There is no reason to expect to be invited. Nope don't do it and if anything is said later, say 'Sorry , it was a small wedding'

It sounds like you barely know her and she's not even related to you. Maybe she was joking about being invited? Since you already have more than enough people, I don't think you should invite her. Only if you needed more people then I'd say to do it.
