Do I Really need the photographer at my house while i get ready????

y ceremopny is at the church at 3:30 and the last photog i spoke to (not using tho) said they would prob get to my house at 1:30....i didn't really like that idea...heres the thing....i really do not want someone around me while i am getting ready i want to do my hair and makeup and changing into the dress in peace and quiet as much as possible...this goes for my mother and sisters....very hight strung italian women lol..my mom needs her PRIVACY and freaks out easy when she is getting ready so i do not want to make this a stressful situation for anyones especially ME. so is it weird if i tell them that i do not want them their while i am getting ready....HOWEVER once i am dressed and makeup is done and hair and everyone is officially done....can i tell them to be there for maybe 45 minutes before we leave for the church to then take pictures of us outside and inside my home????? because i love my house and property will look beautiful so i do want that just i want me and my mom and sisters and other girls to be left a lone during the getting ready process..is that weird????? also can't i just have some of the girls take regular photos from our cameras of us getting makeup and hair done?? its not like i am using these in my albums lol.......what do you all think???any advice????

i didnt think that i wanted my photog at my house for the exact same reason, and i asked him to just be there at the church...but i thought about it and talked to him and he said that it turns out that sometimes the nicest pics he gets are from the brides house in the morning. so he is coming at 8:30am, and we are leaving for the church at 9:30...so its really only an hour and i think i should be all ready and waiting to get married so it will be nice!

that sounds nice...i feel the same way i thought i didn't want it at all but i do want some pictures before we leave for the church because i know that if i have a talented photog then a lot of the great pictures will come from my home i think 45 min should be ok lol maybe an hour

I totally feel the same way! My photographer wanted to do that too but I thought it may be weird. We decided that I would get ready at home with no pics and then just save putting the dress on at the RH and she would take pics there and make it look like I am getting ready. (not sure if that made sense?)

My photographer is probably only coming for an hour before we leave church.. my hair and make up will already be done... he said they would re-enact shots as if it looks like they are putting on my make up etc .lol.. but really like you sai dits the pics at your house once your ready that you care about!

I cut that part out and we're starting at the RH. I've never been a fan of those getting ready pics and I was able to take a MUCH cheaper package b/c my photog's packages went from 7 hours to 12 hours w/ a big price diff. I also live in an apt. with FH and don't want the stress of cleaning, getting pets out of the way, etc...
