Do I tip at a trial?

Hi Everyone!!
I am having my first make-up trial tonight! I am so incredibly excited..but I wonder...should I tip her? Or is the fee enough...

Thanks! Everyone always has such wonderful advice

I tipped only because I felt funny not tipping. I don't think it was necessary though.

You should only tip if you feel that she did something extra or wonderful that deserves a tip. She shouldn't expect it, you're already paying a fee. If you do decide to tip, then 15-20% of the fee is usually the norm.

I tipped

ETA: It was at a salon, so she was an employee

whew...I did take enough money out today...(with some left over for sushi)

I think I might try the airbrush make-up....so if i pay 115, is another 20 acceptable?

I think if she went above and beyond and you might book her, then you should tip.
If she did not do what you want, or did not listen to you, then I wouldn't. JMO
Good luck.

If you are going to a salon you should tip, but if it's her business no need to tip she's making the full profit. JMO

I tipped for mine. You want her to do a good job the day of the wedding. Right?

IMO, whenever someone performes a service for you, they should get a tip unless you are not satisfied with their services.

I forgot to tip and felt really guilty afterwards, especially b/c i booked her for the wedding. So I mailed her a check with an 'I'm sorry'. She still hasn't cashed it though...
