Is anyone doing their own makeup? If so - what are some standard natural looking colors/makeup brands that you used. Did you go to any makeup counters/buy new products?
What are some must-haves???
I usually don't wear alot of makeup - blush mascara & chapstick - and I don't want to look or feel too madeup... help...

Re: do it yourself makeup help
I went to the Bobbi Brown counter at bloomingdales for an application/lesson.
They told me how to apply the make-up and selected natural looking colors that complimented or hi-lighted my features. (not a big make-up wearer either)
There was no big sales pitch but I did buy a bunch of products.
You should probably call ahead to make an appointment. Most make-up counters do this.

Re: do it yourself makeup help
I am like you and normally don't wear make up.
Here is what I did (starting about 5 months before the big day), I would stop by different makeup counters, and test foundations... I would have them put it on, and check on it a few hours later to see if I still liked it or if it stayed. In the end, I picked Clinique's Oil-Free Liquid foundation, b/c of light and smooth coverage.
For mascara, I used Lancome b/c my mom swears by it... I think it worked, but I used a brush from another cheaper mascara b/c I didn't like the Lancome's brush.
For lipstick, I used the revlon long-wear lipstick. I also like the new Maybelline lipsticks. The upper brands sold at macys/bloomies don't have long lasting lipsticks (well not as good as the drugstores stuff)
For eye shadows, I looked through gazillion of them, and I truly think that MAC makes the most lasting eye shadows. Also, you can get FYEye eye shaddow base from Benefit (sold at sephora) to get it to stay longer.
And I used my regular blush from clinique as well.
That's it.
I think if you want natural make up, DIY is the way to go, just make sure to test the products before hand in different light environments.
