YES many people do. I got so many rsvp's the week AFTER the date I requested.
I am in the same boat. A lot on the first day and now maybe one or two a day. It's annoying but it happens to everyone I hear.
The same thing happened to me. I got about half within the first week or so and didn't get any for a few days. A lot of people, unfortunately, wait til the last minute. Hang in there, most of them will come right under the gun!
I am getting on average 2 a day. But I hear a lot of people send them at the last minute, I have over 100 back already, but still missing about 120 as well. I will wait like 7-10 (prob 7!!) till I make people make phone calls. We have a B list and a few people we think we would like to invite if we fall under a certain #, We are pretty sure we aren't gonna fall under that number, but if we do, we want to squeeze them in!
we have 3 days left til our rsvps are due and we still are missing 40!!!! we talked to a few people today who just happened to call and we mentioned how we're getting response cards and they were all like 'omg, it's sitting on my desk, i thought i had sent it!' or 'oops its just sitting here i meant to send it out' like how hard is it to check off and send it back?? guess friday after the mail comes i'll be making lots of calls. It is so frustrating! especially one of the couples is getting married before us and we sent back their rsvp right away and they still haven't responded. You'd think they would be going through the same thing and be considerate.
