Do people even look at the registry?

Do people even look at the registry?

I just checked - and I now have 2 sets of flatware

I mean, isn't that the point? So you don't wind up with like 10 toasters?

Or, in this case, 2 sets of flatware

Well sometimes the registry takes a few hours or even a day to update. So if 2 people go shopping the same day or a day apart... what they purchased may not have come off the registry yet.
It happened with my baby shower

Well, considering the first can openers was bought for my engagement party last august, and the second a few weeks ago... and the first set of flatware was bought about 3 weeks ago, the other within the last day or 2, i doubt that's the case here.

I have a feeling sometimes the stores don't scan or update it correctly when people check out. It has happened a lot to us too!

Hmm, but I know both were on the online registry as purchased... Would the store and online one not update the same?

I know sometimes it doesn't update immediately - kind of crazy. I know when I update things in the store; adding items, it doesn't show up online immediately. So maybe if someone bought it in the store, someone else could've went online even four hours later & bought the same thing. Ridiculous, I know...

I dont think people always notice. Thankfully we only had one duplicate!

I would contact the store and let them know that you had two of the same item purchased weeks apart. that's a bit much. I know some stores are really easy to return to and others like Fortunoff's are not.

I know I can return it (it's BB&B) but I just think it will be akward at the shower.
