the problem with Family is that the think they dont have to repsond because you should know that they are coming...

I would tell her I am putting you down for 1 person..Then give a deadline and mean it for her to respond with her 'fella'.... Tell her you aren't going to pay for a meal if he isn't attending..
I think alot of people do this stuff..'Maybe' is not an option... So far I haven't had that happen, but I am sure someone will do something wacky. My invites are only out for 2 weeks...the 'fun' hasn't begun yet for me..

yes they do. i had two people rsvp yes and then they told mil they were maybes... and now they arent even showing up at all... why respond yes then if you were 'just thinking about it' this isnt an informal casual thing. we have to actually pay ahead per person... hello!!

I agree it's absolutely RUDE! I'm having the same problem myself and it's frustrating! Our wedding is 19 days away and you can't tell us if you're coming or not?! Well we don't want you there anymore

I had the SAME type of response from someone!!!! It's so frustrating!!! I'm just marking the person down as a 1. Let the RH deal w/ it if the person shows up
