So... I fell in love with this one photographer yesterday... and got a price of $4000 with ONLY 1 album (50 pgs) for FH and I, and all proofs... oh... and an engagement shoot... THAT IS IT.
So we went to our next appt, which I didn't like the photos as much... but it was $3000, and it included 1 Album (50 pgs) Thank yous, 20x20 pic of us for the wall, 1 11x11, 2 8x8, and engagement shoot... AND and engagement 8x8.
Now... Do you think I should got back to the first photographer and try to negotiate??? to possibly add some things in???
Did anyone else do this?

YES!!!! best bet is to tell them that you love their work blah blah blah but they are more than you are able to spend. then ask if they are willing to negotiate on price/package. if they say yes, ask them what's the best they can do for you or, in order to not waste tiem, tell them what you are willing to spend and ask what they will give you for that price. just be prepared to walk away if they don't give you what you want.

Yes! We negotiated with ours and got photo/video and his best package at a great price. We told him what we had budgeted and he came down quite a bit for us.

I agree completely!!!! This is what we did and we got our photographer to come down quite a bit. But you have to be prepared to walk away...I guarantee you that they want your business and will work with you and not let you walk out that door. Just be confident when you are negotiating and know what you want and what price you are willing to pay for it. Good luck

YES! I negotiated with my photographer and he threw in the e-shoot with 2 8x10s, and some other extras. I would definatley go for it!
