i am getting married in 4 days, and i just had 5 ppl cancel.. and they already replied yes, and i have paid for them... so rude!

People are so rude. You not only paid for them, but you bought them a favor, you arranged seating, you had an escort card written. Gotta love people. I hope they send a nice gift.

I had someone cancel an hour after i gave my final count and certified check...i had a feeling the person wasn't coming to begin with, so i gave a lesser count to the RH.
People just do not get it.

That blows! Do you have any family members with children that you would allow to bring in the place of the people that cancelled? I guess it is better to know before instead of them no showing up at all. Either way still stinks but don't let it ruin your day.

People are soooo rude. They obviously have no idea what goes into planning a wedding.
My friend got married Saturday. One of our mutual friends (who is now my ex-friend) wrote her a Facebook message the night before the wedding cancelling on her... with no excuse and no apology. We found out the reason why and it was the most spiteful and immature thing in the world.

I had 3 people cancel as I was getting my hair done the day of, and 2 people not show up (and not even call to say sorry we couldn't make it).
People are that way....see if there is anyone who is close to you and would like to bring a guest, that's better than letting it go to waste..

I haven't had my wedding yet but I had 4 FAMILY members and 1 friend of FH's do this at my bridal shower...which was held at a RH and plates were paid in advance.
It's annoying and it's BEYOND rude. The family didn't even have the courtesy to call or even send a card. Absurd.
To all future brides, maybe pay for a few less plates and have cash ready for the day of if necessary. People are unbelieveable. I'm so sorry

Grrr, I would be so pissed. Some people just don't get it. I have people ask hint that they want to come to our wedding but they just don't understand how expensive it would be if we invited everyone we knew.
