Do salespeople drive you nuts

Tonight we went wedding band shopping and I already researched what I was looking for and brought my engagement ring(which FH still hasn't given me and is back in the cabinet next to me )to make sure the band went perfect with it. The first store we went to the woman was very sweet and helpful but kept talking me out of the size I wanted and going bigger(okay they get paid on commision I understand). She was very honest though and even gave me the name of a manager at a competing store to go see. FH will probably get his ring in the first store(different band then mine). Then we go to the second store I show the woman my engagement ring and explain that Im looking for a band to match somewhat to it but since I want diamonds I dont want to over do it so it looks gordy and takes away from my engagement ring. Easy enough right? Well she starts showing me yellow gold bands when my ring is white gold and I told her that's what I was looking for. She shows me round diamonds when my ring has a marque in the middle with princess cuts down the sides and I tell her that I want princess cuts in the band. Then she shows me 1/2ct. to 1ct. after I tell her I dont want to go over 1/4ct because I really dont want it to look tacky and take away from my. Then I finally find a ring I like size wise. She tells me it's 1/6ct.(needless to say they dont sell 1/6ct. I went online to find out, which she also told me how the 1/6ct was smaller then the 1/4ct. and the ring she showed me was the same size)and the ring was yellow gold, she was gonna order it in white, it had round diamonds but they were going to set it in princess cut Okay are u still following me Okay after all of this I ask How$$$. I dont know she tells me I'll have to look it up!! She comes back and tells me that it's not in her computer but the 1/2 ct. is $300 so she'll give it too me for the same $$. Hellooooo, the ring your trying to sell me is smaller and you want to sell it to me for the same $$ as a bigger one. Do I look like I was born yesterday? That's not event he kicker...then she tells me to look at antique looking rings because mine has a very old look to it. OMG are u kidding. Im so sorry for ranting but this woman frustrated me so bad tonight that I couldnt even look anymore. Had to vent or I would've been tossing in my sleep tonight.

WOW that woman sounds like she had absolutely NO clue what she was talking about! Perhaps she was new? I've never dealt with a jeweler that seemed so inexperienced before. A yellow gold band with a white gold engagement ring? I mean, come on, it's common sense that you'd like them to match!
