I really wanted them all to have matching shoes but my MOH is the shortest and oldest out of the other three girls. The dress cuts her off below the knee which makes her look even shorter so she wants to get different shoes than the other 3 BM's...
I shouldn't care about this, right? I should let my MOH buy shoes with a taller heel, they will all be the same ivory color anyways...right?

I wouldnt worry about it especially since shes the MOH. Can the other BMs wear matching shoes and can she find a similar style in a higher heel? I think that would look cute

my girls are wearing knee length dresses and I told them they can wear whatever shoes they want. I did ask that they be peep toe and black but any style of peep toe is fine with me

i think as long as it's the same color, they can wear whatever shoes they want. I just don't think it's fair to make the girls buy shoes just for this IMO

Mine are wearing the same shoe...at first i told them as long as it was the same color it would be ok..but then they all started picking out completely different shoes...so we decided to all match

these are the shoes that I bought for them, they're moms are paying for everything except MOH. My two sisters are 20 and 15, FH's sister is 22, so they want something comfortable without a high heel..so I liked these...I think MOH will be able to find something in this color or similar with a higher heel...

I'm having all my BMs in long dresses so they can wear whatever shoe they want! If I went with a short dress they would all have to wear the same shoe. IMO it makes the pictures look more pulled together and polished. I'm trying not to have too many bridezilla moments and so I went with long dress to avoid a 'moment'!

Mine are getting the choice of 2 styles of silver shoes. 1 with a higher heel and 1 with a lower one.
I wanted them to be the same/similar because my girls are wearing different styles

Wait, is she the only one where the dress its below the knee? Cause you should have them all hemmed to match where the dress hits them on there leg. Then the shoes shouldn't matter. But I am doing all different shoes, but the dresses are all different colors so it as hard. They have to get any open toe dyed to match there dress.

On all the other girls the dress hits right at the knee but because she's short the dress is longer on her...she doesn't want to get it hemmed because it fits perfectly and it's silk chiffon so she's afraid that they'll mess it up...so by wearing a higher heel it'll make her legs look longer...

As long as they're the same colors, I think that's totally fine to have different shoes! Plus she's the MOH so this will make her stand out more :)

Im confused ... Why cant they fix that in alterations? If you get all the girls to have the dresses hemmed at a certain point there would be no issue. I personally feel like they should all have the same shoes with short dresses. Just a personal thing I guess.

I've been BM in a few weddings, all knee length dresses and we were all told what color and style shoe, but that was it. I liked getting to choose my own shoes! Everything feels different on different feet (like my high arches make high heels feel really uncomfortable/bordering on painful), so I think it's nice to let everyone get what they want in the same color
