Do these colors go?

I posted recently about my favors that will be hershey's hugs and kisses in an organza bag with the poem attached. Everyone has been so helpful, so here is another question. If the tag is a cream/ivory color, what color should the bags and the kisses be? All of my paper items (menus, tags for the table camera) will be in this ivory paper. Should I use gold kisses (with almonds!) and ivory bags with the ivory tags or can I use silver kisses and white bags with the ivory tags. Please excuse my analness. I am so not crafty, so I at least want to be coordinated! My dress is white, so I think my table cloths will be white too (if that matters). Basically, I think my question is, can I use white and ivory together or should I just stick to one? Should I bring in even another color? My bridesmaids are wearing light blue. Thanks.

edited to add that I am rolling my eyes at my own post because I am worrying about the most insignificant details. Feel free to roll your eyes with me as you give me your advice!

I think both would be fine, but I would lean more toward the gold kisses and ivory bags

personally, I would do it all one scheme, all ivory, except for your dress. But I am biased, b/c if the whole thing was up to me, it would all have been white, but since you already have so much ivory, I think ivory is in order here.

I would go with the gold kisses and the ivory bags--I think that will look very pretty

My invitations are ivory and I love the paper that my invitations are on so I was going to use that same paper for all of my paper items (ie. favor tags, menus, camera tags, programs).

Ok, so if you like ivory paper then I suggest doing option one, with ivory bags and gold kisses.

Also, you may want to consider doing ivory table cloths, b/c i think having white tablecloths and ivory table camera's wont' look right. But that's just my opinion. Few people will notice.

wacky - that was my concern too. If my dress is white and the table cloth is white and everything else is ivory, will that look bad? At this point, nothing has been ordered except for the invites so anything can be changed. This is why I am doing everything early. I don't have to use the ivory paper, but I really like it.

alina - ivory table cloths with my white dress? does that work? THis is what happens when i try to get crafty and do some things myself to save money. I'm getting stuck on all of the details.

well, the way I think about is that if you have white dress and ivory table cloths, it won't look wrong b/c you're a bride. However, since tablecloths and cameras and bags are all 'accessories', I feel that they're are more important to match.

You can also do this:
ivory bags/gold kisses/ivory paper and ivory cloth on the table with favors AND

white tablecloth and white camera tags, and white dress.

Then you have broken a theme into 2 themes and this way it may work, but you won't have ivory tags on the cameras.

ooops, I just read your post, and saw that you're also making menues and stuff.

I don't know what to tell you, except that idea of white and ivory on the same table won't work with me. However, if you have ivory everything, and just your dress/veil white, you can pull it off, it will only make the white whiter and will separate you as a bride (i.e. someone special)

how dark of an ivory are we talkign about?

Helene actually. Go to your caterer and have them show you white table cloth with ivory overlay.
