I need to plug a hole at the top of my ornament favors so the sand doesn't poor out. The hot glue made my ornaments BREAK. So, now I need a plan B. I'm picturing GLUE BALLS. Like little pellets of glue that I can stick in the holes of the ornaments tops so I can plug it up?

did you try a low temp hot glue gun? I know Michael's has both regular temp and low temp. Low temp is for more delicate crafts

I did the low temp glue gun... that's what broke my ornament. . That's all I'll need is for my guests to open up a box of broken glass, sand and shells!

that's a good idea, but the problem is that the metal, springy part of the ornament still has to go through the same hole...
here's the picture... the gold part at the top has the thin piece of metal sticking through the hole into the ornament. That's what the ribbon is tied to. So, whatever fills the hole has to be 'mold-able'.
They make Glue Dots.. I used them to make my place cards. You can find them in AC Moore, or Michaels

they DO!?!?! Do you think it would fit my purpose? Are they kind of gooey - or like silly putty - and then harden?

I was thinking the same thing. The maker of glue dots makes a 1 inch strip or a continuous strip. These might be better for your project.
