I would love to get it for gift but I am NOT holding my breath!!
I wil register for it but that is about it.... in the end we will be paying for it.

Me and FH are paying for HM. My parents are paying for wedding with our help but they are doin the bulk of it so we are not even expecting a HM gift.

FH's parents mentioned the possibility of them footing the HM bill when we got engaged...but they said this to him, and we haven't really discussed it since- so I'm not quite sure.

Ours is a gift... FMIL told me flat out that since her husband (FH step father) paid for his kids hms, she is definitely paying for ours. It wouldn't be fair if she didn't.

I would LOVE for one set of our parents to give it as a gift but I don't think that's going to happen. It would really help bc FH and I are paying for everything. It's a safe assumption we'll be paying for it
